When you choose Gems of Bergen, you’re also supporting young people in their very first job - that’s our main goal. We give youth the opportunity to gain real work experience while practicing foreign languages in a meaningful way. So, when you join a tour with Gems of Bergen, you’re not only discovering the local side of Bergen with enthusiastic guides . You’re also helping support a movement that gives young people their first step into the working world.

Giving youth their first job
Our tour guides are enthusiastic young people full of energy. It’s a big social issue that many young people in Bergen struggle to find work, and this is a problem we’re tackling head-on. We believe that young people can do the job of a tour guide just as well as adults - often with even more passion.
